Rob Kingdom -

Age 45

21 The Stray, South Cave, Brough, East Yorkshire, HU15 2AN

Regeneration Project Manager

Born in Bournemouth and moved to Yorkshire in 1974. Rob moved to Dale ward in 1998 and has been married to Susan for 21 years. He has a BA in Business studies, is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Building and is currently working on a partnership regeneration project in Hull having previously spent 4 years in a regeneration project setting up businesses, obtaining work and training for the most disadvantaged in inner city Leeds. Rob has a long experience working in Local Authorities. He has acted as a workforce representative between the 70’s to mid 90s and is Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for McMillan Nursery, Hull. Rob has been a community activist in South Cave since 1999 when a group of residents, dissatisfied with official reaction to over-development of the South Cave banded together to fight the developers. To relax Rob enjoys playing about on the computer, watercolour painting, caravanning and walking. Both Rob and Susan have recently taken up cycling in an effort to keep fit.

Rob will continue campaigning against unsustainable house building and work to protect local education, social services and village facilities. Kerbside recycling, local democracy, and speeding traffic are also priorities. Rob Kingdom believes in equality of opportunity in a free and open society where there is freedom from ignorance and poverty.
