Specialist School Status for South Hunsley

Liberal Democrat Leader Charles Kennedy paid a visit to South Hunsley School accompanied by School Governor Cllr Anita Kay and Ward member Cllr Bob Tress to support the schools bid for Specialist School Status in Technology and Engineering.

To support this bid the school needs to raise £50,000

Cllr Anita Kay says: - the staff in order to present the bid will have a great deal of work to do. The school will need the £50k to accompany the application, this will then generate £850k from the government in match funding, I have sent my contribution already.

Cllr Coleen Gill Says: - It’s a lot of Money! But this bid will make a great deal of difference to the School, I urge all connected with the School to send a contribution however small, it will all add up.

Send your contributions to the South Hunsley School P.T.A. identifying on the back of your cheque Specialist School Status.
